Purple Leaf Sandcherry
(Prunus x ‘cistena’)
Features: Also called Purple leaf plum, this shrub is considered one of the best purple-leaved shrubs for the prairies. Soft pink, single flowers are produced along the stems in early spring. Bark colour is deep purple, adding winter interest.
