Royal Cloak Barberry  

(Berberis thunbergi ‘Royal Cloak’)

 Features:  This cultivar is noted for its upright arching growth habit and large reddish-purple leaves. Leaves vary in size from ½-2 inches long and are a dark burgundy.  Bright red berries form in the fall and often persist into winter after leaf drop.  Stems have sharp thorns.
