Bailey’s Schubert Cherry
(Prunus virginiana ‘Bailey Select’)
Features: Showy racemes of fragrant white flowers hang below the branches of this tree in mid-spring. Deep purple foliage emerges green, but changes to purple by mid-June. The black fruits are held in abundance in spectacular clusters by mid-summer. They can be used for jam, jellies and wine-making. This is a self-pollinating variety.
